Top Offender Ranking

The Top Offenders Ranking provides a clear view of the services that generate the highest consumption within cost centers and have exceeded their budget. They are displayed in order of impact, from the most to the least offensive, making it easier to quickly identify the main services responsible for overspending. This serves as a solid foundation for financial adjustment and optimization decisions.

Loading and updating data

Data is collected on a daily basis at 08:00 (America/Sao Paulo)

Prerequisites

As with the Consumption and Budget vs. Consumption sections, it is necessary to integrate the Cost Orchestrator to display the information.

Filters

  • Provider → Located in the top toolbar, this refers to the cloud service provider used. Additional providers can be integrated via the designated button

  • Period → Indicates the timeframe in which the resource was used. Future dates are not allowed.

Next to the filters, a summary counter displays the number of services that have exceeded their allocated budget for a given cost center within the selected period.

No integration

When the user opts to skip the integration steps upon accessing the platform for the first time, an image is shown, guiding him towards the necessary integration steps so he can visualize his data.

  • If a provider has not yet been integrated, only data relevant to the Consumption, Budget vs. Consumption, and Top Offenders Ranking screens will be shown.

Columns

The Top Offenders Ranking table consists of the following columns:

  • Provider → Cloud service provider.

  • Top Offender Service → Name of the service that exceeded the budget.

  • Total Consumption → Total amount consumed by the service during the selected period.

  • Workspace → Name and ID.

  • Cost Centers → Name and code of the cost center.

  • Manager → Person responsible for the cost center.

The ordering of the most impactful service items is displayed based on the total consumption exceeding the budgeted amount.
